image568.jpgThe layout of your bar is one of the most important aspects of your business. While great food and efficient service are some of the things that will make customers go back to your bistro, you have to know that the physical appearance of your establishment can also contribute to its success or failure.

When doing the layout of your bistro, here are the steps that you need to do:

Step 1: Research. First, you have to read up, research and browse through interior decorating magazines to have an idea. Online you will find an extensive list of resources about laying out furniture for your business. Apply the things you learn when you do the layout of your bistro.

Step 2: Plan. Sketch the floor plan of your bistro in full detail. Measure the furniture and the floor area so you will be able to come up with a precise floor plan. Make sure that there are sufficient spaces for walkways.

Step 3: Get advice. Consult the plan you made with expert interior designers or get the opinions of your friends. Be receptive to constructive criticisms.

Step 4: Lay it out. Do the actual arrangement of the furniture. Stick to your plan but do not hesitate to adjust if needed.

Step 5: Dry run. Test the efficiency of the layout by having a couple of friends and family act out as customers to see if they will be able to move around the bistro with ease.

Step 6: Make the necessary adjustments.

Laying out a bistro is not that difficult. It will just have to take a little creativity and a big amount of patience for you to achieve the perfect layout for your business.
